Fantasy Poker Leagues LLC
Fantasy Poker Leagues LLC was founded by two professionals, Tim Shane, an attorney and David Poces, a chiropractor, who share the common passion of playing in poker tournaments (combined poker earnings 1 million dollars). FantasyPoker is designed to appeal to every poker tournament player, at all levels.
The Concept
The concept is simple. You become a member (join for free), you draft your fantasy team of players, and you enter a contest. If your fantasy player does well in the poker tournament(s) eligible for the contest you entered, then your team will score points based on how well your fantasy player did in the tournament. At the end of the contest, the team that entered the contest with the highest points will win the contest.
If you like tournament poker, then you already know many of the players, either directly by competing against them at the tables, or indirectly by watching them on TV. For the players you do not know, you can find the players poker tournament history on Hendon Mob.
Our Poker Player Pools
As you know, there are over 1 million tournament poker players worldwide, and we never know what player will show up at what tournament. We struggled with this problem, and have carefully designed the fantasy contests to resolve the issues, per the following:
Triton is the pinnacle of the super high roller leagues. We have a Triton player of the year list of players to choose from. We do not have to rank these players, as they are all superstars in the high roller poker arena. We have a variety of contests for the Triton events.
This player pool consists of the world's most popular players, which of course includes the most successful players. We do not know which tournaments these players will actually show up for, so we have leagues that cover timeframes; 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month. We know the most popular players will be playing for sure somewhere during that timeframe; so you will score points any time your drafted team player cashes, or makes a final table, during the designated timeframe. We also have contests for tournament specific that we know your players will most likely play in, like the WSOP main event in Las Vegas; and we also have player pools for contests that choose from day 2 of the events. so these contests we know the day 1 chip counts, and we know the player is for sure playing as he/she made it to day 2 and we the players chip count going into day 2 is taken into consideration for the drafting skill of forming your team, or otherwise everyone would choose only the highest chip bags.
We also have LAST MAN STANDING CONTESTS. So this way, you can win if your fantasy player did not make it to a final table, but outlasted all other fantasy players on the competing team.
We then have a players pool for geographic areas. We are starting with South Florida, of the noted regular players, and we allow you to add yourself or your friends to the player pool. The contests are broken further down between the low entry tournaments, $300 or less tournament entry fees, mid-range, $301 to $1500, and high roller, over $1500. The contests then are broken into specific events, timeframe leagues, and specific casinos. Our goal is to offer a competition that will be inclusive of all the poker tournament community.
Contest entry fees can be FREE ROLL, $25, $100, $250, and S500. All of the contest money is awarded to the winner of the contest.
To cover the cost of business, keeping track of the contests, paying out the winners, providing constant tournament result and poker tournament successes, we charge an administrative fee for each contest you enter (no fee for the Freeroles) ranging from S15 to $50.
WE HOPE YOU USE YOUR SKILLS AS POKER PLAYERS AND DRAFT YOUR TEAM WISELY AND ENJOY YOUR CONTESTS.
