Frequently Asked Questions
The contests are broken into 2 categories for choice of player pools to draft your players on your team. Either the worlds most popular and renowned players, or successful local players based on geographic area. The large high roller and super high roller events will all have the top players pool and the local events will have the top local players in the players pool.
Then, the structure of the contests follows the following guidelines.
First there will be a FEATURED EVENT. This event may be a specified tournament in a designated poker series festival, or it might be multiple tournaments within the same series festival.
It will not be the first tournament of the series, to allow our contestants to watch or follow the 1st event of the series and see who is playing in the series before finalizing their draft of players.
The featured series will be one that is live streamed or updated, like wsop, poker go, trident, or updated on the local hosting casinos website.
However, there still will be players that a contestant thought was going to play in the event but didn't show up.
To balance this in fairness, we have 2 ways to handle this.
One format is the FEATURED PLUS format, which means that if your selected player on your team is not playing in the featured event but instead is playing during the SAME time period in another poker tournament elsewhere, then your team can still earn points for that player based on the poker tournament results.
The other format is the featured ADD ON format. In this format, every contestant will have the option to add 1 or 2 players to their team during the add on posted period, prior to day 2. There will be posted restrictions regarding actual players chip bag totals, but in this format every team will have at least 1 or 2 players making it into day 2.
1 point earned every time your player cashes in a tournament during the stated time period.
1 point earned everytime your player makes a final table of 6 players.
1 point earned if your player was the last player standing compared to all other fantasy players drafted on a team in the contest.
Team with most points wins. If more then 1 team has the same points, then prize divided equally.
If no team scores points then the time frame of the contest will auto extend 1 week, and auto extend 1 additional week if necessary, until a winner is determined. If any selected players earn any points in any qualified poker tournament period, then the team with the most points will win the contest.
A qualified poker tournament is one that is our featured tournament and or any poker tournament reported and recorded on Hendon Mob during the designated contest timeframe. We want a reasonable time to finalize the winners, and we realize that some casinos report their tournament results right away and others can take a month or longer to report. We decided that the results must be reported and published by Hendon Mob within 15 days after the end of the last day of the contest period, or last day of the extended 7 day time frame.
The designated time frame is based on the time frame of the Featured event. Say a designated series begins March 25 and ends April 7. The last event of the designated series began on April 7. If that last event was a one day tournament, then April 7 is the close date. But if the last event began on April 7, but was a multiday ending April 11, then April 11 is the close date.
However, some tournaments like the WSOP main event may have a final table date scheduled much later in time, so to be fair we will post a closing date applicable for every contest.
Yes. To add yourself or add a player to a player pool, you will need to email us and make a request. To be added to a local player pool, you must either reside in the local area or show a history of playing in the local casinos in Hendon Mob. In Florida, for example, a player may winter in South Florids and is a regular player during many months, so that player would qualify.
Our plan is to continuously add other local area player pools and contests for those local areas. We encourage you to email us and request that your area be added.
We are offering a duo membership. In the open membership, there is no membership fee to enjoy the site. You select the prize pool entry. We have 4 to choose from. $25, $100, $250, $500.
90 percent of the prize pool will go to the winner. 10 percent is an administrative fee. 5 percent is a bank or credit card or financial service cost. So if 100 teams are drafted in a $100 contest, the winner will receive $8500.
We will also have a paid subscription fee. The cost is $20 per month. The paid subscribers can play in any of the contests for free. The winner of each of the free contests will win 1 $100 entry into any future $100 contest.
Yes. The prize entry money is directly sent to a established 30 year reputable management company. It escrows the prize funds until a winner is determined and then payment is made directly out of escrow to the winner.
